TFL
Today we had a talk from TFL explaining how to be a good citizen.
They explained how much a zip card really costs, showed us a film about bad behaviour and the consequences to our actions. If you do not follow the rules of how to keep a zip card, there will be consequences such as: it will get confiscated; you may have to pay a fine of £80 and if you do graffiti on a bus window or on other public transport, you will have to pay a £1000 in order for it to be replaced.
Make sure you keep all of your belongings safe, so you don't waste police time and so you don't lose them.
We also discussed safety on the tube and the dangers of passing through the carriage doors as well as standing on the right, keeping our feet off seats and other ways to be a good citizen.

Buzz and Neil on the Moon
Today 6M used the Puppet Pals app on the iPads to rehearse what Neil and Buzz might have said to each other before they set foot on the moon. They tried to get Buzz to persuade Neil to let him go on the moon first. Later on this week, they are going to write a playscript based on this event.
Do you think they succeeded in persuading Neil to let Buzz go first? Have a watch and let us know what you think!
(The videos are in a playlist. So one will play after the other.)

Clay aliens!
As part of our space topic, Year 6 have been making clay aliens! Firstly, we carried out research into what our aliens could look like and drew some designs. We thought about the different clay techniques we could use such as rolling, making a pinch pot and scratch and slurry.
Research and drawing designs:
What do you think of our aliens? What techniques have been used to make them?
What planet could our aliens be from?

Blog club blogs
Our blog club blogs are finally available for you to take a look at!
These were designed and created by the children in Blog club last term. They decided what they would like to blog about based on things that they are interested in.
They learnt how to post, upload photographs, add polls and even embed videos using HTML codes!
Take a look by visiting the Blog Club blog (the link is at the top of this page).
All content on the blogs is updated and monitored by the children and their parents, so if you see anything that you think is inappropriate, please let me (Mrs McDonald) know straight away!
